Yes, more demolition… And with the demolition, comes the cleaning! Or rather the shovel collection…
Today, my role is to minimally clean the cellar, while the guys continue to demolish the false ceiling on the ground floor. Honestly, after the fact, I realize that we should perhaps have tackled only one floor at a time. Working on both floors at the same time is quite demanding. In fact, it gives us the impression that things are progressing more or less quickly… And for your information, I haven’t counted the number of bags made with this heavy dust. It will number in the hundreds, no doubt.
Searching for treasures during demolition
As the guys downstairs continue their demolition, I sneak through it all to find treasures and artifacts . Mind your head!
So, the moral of this story is: if you are an amateur renovator like us, I advise you to cut the work in stages. Don’t demolish everything all at once. There are disadvantages (living longer in the dust), but also advantages (allows better management of the budget and avoids an almost inevitable discouragement).
