Friends are precious. And I have really good friends, I can always count on them. When I offered them a fondue-demolition dinner, they accepted right away. It must be said that the subject was quite interesting: a false ceiling, in the cellar, made of wood, and having a layer of crumbly cement sprinkled with linen and horsehair.
So we begin the cleaning of the house, removing these old materials that have worried us before (we thought for a moment that it was asbestos used for insulation between floors).
It was only after a few glasses of wine (to give us courage of course) that we set to work. Goggles, masks, the ugliest clothes and a crowbar in hand, we went down to the cellar.
I’ve never done anything so filthy. The photos are blurry so much there was dust! It was she who stopped us, at 1:30 in the morning, because we simply couldn’t see anything. But honestly, half of the false ceiling was removed that night, and in a good mood too! Ahhhh… thank you my friends!
Next step? Throw all this dust which is frankly very heavy and remove the other half of the false ceiling. See you at the next fondue-demolition dinner!
