What is this blog about?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We have just purchased an old duplex (now considered a single-family house) located in lower-town Quebec City and whose construction dates from the 1900s. Lots of renovations and adventures on the horizon, my boyfriend and I had talked about creating a logbook in order to keep traces of our progress, our successes and (sometimes) our discouragement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Already a bit kodak kids, we are already listing as many things as possible with the help of photos, having in mind the famous upcoming diary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, one day, I stumbled upon the very excellent blog reno, work, sleep …<\/a> where we follow the adventures of a family from the Plateau in Montreal who began renovating a century-old duplex in August 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What a great idea! That was when I decided to start this blog. A blog that we make available to our families and friends, and to any other person likely to be interested in our experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having an eco mindset? We do too! Over the past few years, we have tried as much as possible to take advantage of what was already in the house, or what we received or found for free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because renovations are not pleasant every step of the way, we also share with you our moments of discouragement and how they were overcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
